Description
The University of Washington Winter Skills Camp & Driveline Assessment on Sunday, January 25th will allow 30 participants the unique and intimate opportunity to focus on their skill development at Husky Ballpark alongside the University of Washington Baseball coaching staff. This camp also features the unique opportunity to receive a Driveline Assessment which allows participants to have a comparison to collegiate and professional baseball players, and an understanding of their mechanical and physical profiles. Campers will receive a swing or delivery biomechanics assessment and a force plate assessment. This camp is designed to give participants the opportunity to take their game to the next level by really breaking down and focusing on specific areas of their game on the field at Husky Ballpark with Husky coaching staff members. Camp will be divided up into two sessions: 12pm to 5pm will focus on infield and outfield play, and the 3pm to 8pm session will focus on pitching and catching. Both sessions will also include hitting & offensive instruction, along with a campus tour and a college baseball experience seminar. This camp will provide participants of all skill levels an invaluable day of work that is designed to really impact a young ballplayer’s development. The University of Washington baseball camps are open to any and all entrants.

What to Bring
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a bat, batting gloves, helmet, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary. No metal spikes! Husky Baseball Camps will not be responsible for lost items.

There will be space for parents / guardians to watch camp.
Check-in
Check-in will open 30 minutes prior to the start of camp. Campers can check in at the front gate of Husky Ballpark. More information will be sent via email a week prior to camp if necessary.

The camp will be headquartered at Husky Ballpark, on the campus of the University of Washington. Campers will use the Washington main ball field, surrounding rec. turf fields, bullpens, covered hitting facility, and team meeting room.
Directions to Husky Ballpark from I-5: Take the NE 45th Street exit (exit #169) from I-5 and continue east on NE 45th Street approximately 1.4 miles to Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road, you will find the entrance to the E1 lot. Husky Ballpark will be on your right.
Directions to Husky Ballpark from Highway 520: Take the Montlake Boulevard exit. Continue north on Montlake Boulevard, crossing the drawbridge. You will pass Husky Stadium and Hec Edmundson Pavilion on your right. When the road forks, bear right to stay on Montlake Boulevard. Turn right at Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road, you will find the entrance to the E-1 lot. Husky Ballpark will be on your right.

This is not an “overnight” camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodation.

Jr. Dawgs Youth Camps provide a great way for youth players to learn from The UW coaching staff and players, along with other great hired coaches. Camp will be both indoors and outdoors, include sessions of defense and hitting on the baseball field itself, hitting inside our covered batting facility, and other activities throughout the days. This camp will provide participants of all skill levels an invaluable week of work that is designed to really impact a young ballplayer in a positive way on and off the field.
