Description
Alex Sogard Baseball Camps will be hosting four 4-day youth camps. Come join the Raider Gang Coaching staff and select current players as we will emphasize hitting, fielding, base running and throwing fundamentals through drills, proper practice techniques and game situations. This is an excellent opportunity for players to develop their skills in all areas of the game. Campers will be divided by age and ability for games and drills. We hope you will spend the summer with us here in beautiful Beavercreek, OH.
Equipment/What to Bring
Each camper must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring:
• a glove
• cleats/spikes
• running shoes or turf shoes
• hat
• helmet
• bat
• batting gloves
• any other equipment they feel necessary to compete.
Please mark camper’s names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

Check-In
Check-in time will take place at 7:30am at the entrance of the stadium. Parking will take place outside the stadium in the big parking lot outside the field. Additional parking will not likely be needed, but if so then, there is additional parking available outside Mclin Gym at the Nutter Center.
Waiver Information
Medical forms will be attached to your e-mailed receipt and are available on-line. Please download, print, fill out, and bring to camp.
Meals
Lunch will not be provided for the camps due to COVID-19 and food allergies. Campers are highly encouraged to bring snacks.

Raidergang alum, Oakland A’s backstop Sean Murphy wins Gold Glove Award

OAKLAND – Former Wright State standout and current Oakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy was named the American League Gold Glove Award winner at catcher on Sunday night.
Murphy, who won his first award in his first season as a finalist, had 10 defensive runs saved, which ranked second among AL backstops. According to Statcast, Murphy had eight runs saved from pitch framing, which led all AL catchers. The 27-year-old backstop led all MLB catchers in FanGraphs’ defensive runs above average, with 19.6. Visit us in beautiful Dayton, Ohio for a Wright State Baseball Camp and show us your skills! Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. Our baseball camps and showcases in Dayton, Ohio are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at Wright State University.
