ABOUT US

Robert Woodard 49er Baseball Camps

Thank you for taking an interest in Robert Woodard 49er Baseball Camps held at UNC Charlotte! In the coming year, we will offer several camps that will focus on individual development and team concepts. Continue to check back here as our camp information will be updated regularly.

As a program, we take a lot of pride in playing the game correctly. Our hope with our camps is to provide fundamental instruction that will allow each camper the ability to improve their skills. The 49er staff will be present and very involved in each camp. We will also hire instructors who are currently playing and teaching the game themselves.

Our baseball camps and showcases in North Carolina are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at Charlotte. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this amazing camp hosted by a Top 30 Program!

All Robert Woodard Baseball Camps are open to all entrants and only limited by age and grade level.

Opened in 2007, Robert and Mariam Hayes Baseball Stadium is a crown jewel on the Charlotte campus. The site has plays host to all Charlotte 49ers Baseball home contests as well as the North Carolina State Games, multiple high school championships and the 2013 Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Tournament.

Accomodating 3,000 fans, the lower bowl consists of 550 chair-backed seats and the upper level has 550 bleacher seats. Lawn seating is available down the left and right field foul lines.

The facility contains a full-service concession stand and restrooms available on the concourse level. The Press Box and Hospitality Suites are accessible by stairs or elevator. The Erik Walker Suite is the main hospitality room and is dedicated in honor of former 49ers baseball standout Erik Walker who tragically lost his life in Fall of 2006. The Erik Walker Suite includes a sun deck with covered tables as well as an inside suite featuring stadium-style seating. It’s a great place to watch a game with a group and can be reserved for private parties through the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Foundation.
